Do I have a right to make mistakes?

But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. John 14:26

One morning at church, I had my hands raised to heaven worshiping my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All of the sudden I heard the Holy Spirit speak to my spirit: "Stop believing the lie everybody makes mistakes. Renounce believing that lie. With the help of the Holy Spirit you can make right decisions."

Most of my life I heard the saying "Everybody makes mistakes" and had repeated the lie numerous times. Typically I heard the lie as an excuse for adults to sin or a child's bad behavior. I believed like many people, I was doomed to occasionally make a mistake. Not realizing this mental thought process could cause you to make mistakes.

I remember teaching a bible study one night and random thoughts bombarding my mind. It was hard to concentrate. The next day I paced my living room floor, asking the Lord for a solution. Suddenly I heard in my spirit, "My Word says, commit your works unto the Lord and He will establish your thoughts (Proverbs 16:3). Before you do something, commit the work to Me and ask Me to establish your thoughts in that area." Before I wrote this blog I committed the work to the Lord and asked Him to establish my thoughts writing this blog. Every time I commit a work to the Lord, my mind clears up and I don't deal with random thoughts. You can use Proverbs 16:3 in all areas of your life. You can use it in your home life, business, etc.
